TALISSMAN HELD ITS FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING TO ALIGN TECHNICAL PROGRESS AND NEXT STEPS
On February 3, 2026, the TALISSMAN consortium held its first General Assembly Meeting online, bringing together all partners to review the overall progress of the project and align on upcoming activities. The meeting provided a comprehensive overview of the work carried out during the initial phase, including coordination and management aspects, as well as updates on ongoing research activities and identified risks together with proposed mitigation measures.
Key technical discussions focused on the development of advanced lithium–sulfur battery components, covering progress in lithium metal anodes, electrolytes and separators, sulfur-based cathodes, and cell development and prototyping. The consortium also reviewed early results related to cell performance, degradation mechanisms and modelling, ensuring a shared understanding of technical challenges and integration needs across the project.
In addition, the meeting addressed cross-cutting aspects essential for the project’s long-term impact. Sustainability criteria were discussed alongside dissemination, exploitation and communication activities, complemented by a dedicated session on intellectual property management. The General Assembly concluded with a joint discussion on the workplan for the coming months, outlining upcoming tasks, key deliverables and milestones, and reinforcing collaboration among partners as the project moved forward.
