TALISSMAN CELEBRATES ITS GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING IN DRESDEN

On June 24-25, 2026, the TALISSMAN consortium gathered in Dresden, Germany, for its General Assembly Meeting, hosted by Fraunhofer IWS.

One year after the project’s launch, the meeting brought together partners from across the consortium to review the progress achieved during the first year of activities and to discuss the next steps for the coming months. The sessions provided an opportunity to assess the overall project status, share updates from the different technical work areas, and align on future priorities, including upcoming deliverables, milestones and collaboration needs.

Throughout the meeting, partners discussed advances related to the development of advanced lithium-sulphur battery technologies, including work on lithium metal anodes, electrolytes and separators, sulphur composite cathodes, cell development and prototype manufacturing, cell assessment, degradation mechanisms, modelling, sustainability, and dissemination, exploitation and communication activities.

The General Assembly also served as an important moment to strengthen collaboration within the consortium, fostering technical exchange and ensuring that all partners remain aligned as TALISSMAN moves into its next phase.

In addition to the working sessions, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of the city of Dresden and to visit the facilities of Fraunhofer IWS, gaining further insight into the host institution’s research environment and capabilities.

The meeting marked an important milestone for TALISSMAN, reinforcing the consortium’s shared commitment to advancing safe and sustainable lithium-sulphur battery technologies for future mobility applications.
